Syracuse Express Beats Liberty City Outlaws and Hands Them Sixth Loss in a Row

Syracuse Express got the second-highest score in the league this week to get the win over Liberty City Outlaws 120.40 to 102.88. It takes a true veteran to maintain focus throughout a season. Syracuse Express is whatever the opposite of that is, having dropped their last six. With 42.50 points, Ezekiel Elliott wound up producing the third-highest score on the season. Syracuse Express (6-1, 922.20 points) remains in first place and Liberty City Outlaws (1-6, 616.59 points) is still looking up at everyone from the cellar.

Smooth Moves by Syracuse Express

  • A win like that is a great first step, Syracuse Express. A baby step toward the ultimate achievement: becoming a Toyota Hall of Famer.
  • By the beard of Zeus, that’s a lot of points for a defense. With 30.00 points, the Jacksonville Jaguars Defense had the highest point total to date for all defenses.
  • Syracuse Express won despite having only 2 of their 10 starters exceed their projected points.
  • Todd Gurley II put the team on his back with 24.80 points, the second-highest score among RBs in the league this week.
  • There are rumors that the military wants to model a new all-terrain vehicle based off of Kareem Hunt. He had the eighth-highest score among RBs in the league this week with 10.70 points.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • Liberty City Outlaws, you can’t win ’em all. But you can’t lose ’em all if you wanna be in the Toyota Hall of Fame.
  • Whoever gave you this advice, you might want to lose their number. Traded for and started Chris Hogan, who then scored below his 7.51-point projection with 4.73 points.
  • This is how people lose everything in casinos. Liberty City Outlaws thought their luck would change and went back to the well with Rishard Matthews. However, he scored 2.67 points against a projected 6.11 and has now underachieved in four straight games.
  • Who needs offense when the defense is so dominant!? Liberty City Outlaws got outscored 30.00 – 14.00 by Syracuse Express at the DEF position.
  • Dan Bailey had a season-low 2.00 points against a projected 9.51 and has now underachieved in five straight games.

What If

  • If Syracuse Express played Liberty City Outlaws every week, they would be 7-0 this season.
  • Syracuse Express would have beaten five other teams besides Liberty City Outlaws this week.
  • Had they played each other last week, Syracuse Express would have defeated Liberty City Outlaws 139.01 – 92.52.
  • Syracuse Express would be 5-1 if they played the same schedule as Liberty City Outlaws.
  • If Syracuse Express had played every team in the league each week, they would be 43-6.
  • In addition to Syracuse Express, Liberty City Outlaws would have lost to just two other teams this week.
  • Liberty City Outlaws would be 2-4 if they played the same schedule as Syracuse Express.
  • If they played every team every week, Liberty City Outlaws would be 18-31.

Game Notes

  • Five of the six wins for Syracuse Express this season have come despite their opponent scoring a season-high that week.
  • Although Liberty City Outlaws lost, they did put up the fifth-highest score for a losing team in the league this season.
  • The loss is the sixth straight for Liberty City Outlaws and extends the longest current losing streak in the league.
  • The manager of Syracuse Express was probably the person who destroyed the curve on every test in school. They scored 120.40 points against a projected 115.12 and beat their scoring projection for the sixth time this season, including the last five weeks in a row.
  • Ezekiel Elliott led the league in scoring and had the third-most points in the league this season with 42.50, but it was not enough to get Liberty City Outlaws the win.
  • Syracuse Express won by 17.52 points, covering the 14.68-point spread.
  • With 49.20 points, Liberty City Outlaws got the highest combined scoring output from the RB position for any team this week.
  • Syracuse Express overachieved in the win, improving to 5-1 when beating their projected points this season, while Liberty City Outlaws falls to 0-2 when scoring above their projected points.

  • With 0.90 points, Marshawn Lynch was last on the team in scoring and got only 10.6% of his 8.52 projected points, his lowest percentage of the season.

What If

  • If Forte Shades of Jay played Rock Crushers every week, they would be 3-4 this season.
  • Forte Shades of Jay would’ve been undefeated if they played every team in the league this week.
  • If they played the same schedule as Rock Crushers, Forte Shades of Jay would be 3-3.
  • Forte Shades of Jay would be 27-22 if they played every team every week.
  • Rock Crushers would have been beaten by every other team in the league this week.
  • Timing really is everything. Forte Shades of Jay would have lost to Rock Crushers 136.67 – 111.45 had they played each other last week.
  • Rock Crushers would be 4-2 if they played the same schedule as Forte Shades of Jay.
  • If they played every team every week, Rock Crushers would be 25-24.

Game Notes

  • Maybe the league is colluding against them. All four of the losses for Rock Crushers this season have come when their opponent scores higher than their season average.
  • This matchup featured both the highest-scoring team and the lowest-scoring team in the league this week.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • In Fantasy Football, you win some, you lose some. Not for Toyota Hall of Famers. They mostly just win. But still.
  • This is one of those mistakes that you continuously think about for ten years. Did not start Jameis Winston, who scored 27.36 points to rank ninth in the league in scoring.
  • Had a chance to start Doug Baldwin, who outdid his scoring projection of 6.84 points by scoring 12.13 points.
  • Martavis Bryant has now underachieved in five straight games after scoring a matchup-low 0.40 points against a projected 4.63.

  • Although NewEngland Deflators won, it was no thanks to Adam Thielen, who scored 2.73 points and has now scored below his projection in four straight weeks.
  • Just because Robert Horry has seven NBA championship rings, doesn’t mean he’s one of the greats. Despite being on the winning team, Delanie Walker scored 1.20 points against a projected 6.72 and has now underachieved in five straight games.
  • Both teams topped their projections, but Georgia Bullies performed better versus expectations than NewEngland Deflators and still lost.
