Consolation: Forte Shades of Jay Goes Crazy on Liberty City Outlaws

Forte Shades of Jay got 25.90 points from Le’Veon Bell and 20.00 from the Minnesota Vikings Defense to shred Liberty City Outlaws, 103.31 to 55.18. It was an epic playoff victory, and the 48.13-point margin of victory is the ninth-highest in the league this season. Someone check the temperature of Forte Shades of Jay. They’ve been on fire, winning their last three matchups in a row. It’s been said that it’s not how you start, but how you finish and Forte Shades of Jay took that to heart. Despite losing their last matchup against Liberty City Outlaws, Forte Shades of Jay won when it mattered most.   • Kenyan Drake put the team on his back with 16.13 points, the 10th-highest score among RBs in the league this week.
  • Look, there in the sky. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it’s just Tyreek Hill posterizing opponents. He had the seventh-highest score of any WR in the league this week with 11.87 points.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • Loss is a four-letter word to Toyota Hall of Famers. And win is a three-letter word. Hall of Famers are great at Fantasy Football AND counting.
  • Did not start Rishard Matthews, who beat his projected point total by 110.1%, which was the highest percentage of either team.
  • Did not start Matthew Stafford, who led the team in scoring with 17.38 points.
  • 8 of the starters on Liberty City Outlaws underperformed versus their projections.
  • It was a bad week at RB for Liberty City Outlaws, who was outscored at the position 47.66 – 9.84 by Forte Shades of Jay.

ChrisChristiesNachos picked up 26.20 points from Rob Gronkowski and 19.87 from Melvin Gordon, crushing Georgia Bullies, 113.94 to 69.48. Georgia Bullies now has six blowout losses on the season. ChrisChristiesNachos makes it three in a row against Georgia Bullies, following up a 146.55 to 88.51 shellacking in Week 12. Georgia Bullies wrapped up the regular season in seventh place with a record of 4-10. With a scoring average of 90.86, they also placed seventh in the league in that metric. Georgia Bullies was one-and-done this postseason, losing in their only playoff matchup.

  • You put it all on the Fantasy field and pulled out a Fantasy victory! A Fantasy feeling only rivaled by becoming a real Toyota Hall of Famer.

  • Left the Los Angeles Rams Defense on the bench, where they scored 24.00 points and beat their projected point total by 164.3%, the seventh-highest percentage in the league this week.

Millennium Falcons has been coming up strong regularly after winning their last four matchups in a row. Millennium Falcons gets revenge for their last matchup with Rock Crushers (a Week 10 loss: 159.02 to 137.39), and their head-to-head record improves to 2-1. Rock Crushers ended the regular season in second place with a record of 9-5. They also ranked second in the league with 112.32 points per game. Rock Crushers was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their only playoff matchup.

Syracuse Express delivered a powerhouse performance, scoring the fourth-highest point total in the league to date to put a drubbing on NewEngland Deflators 159.54 to 99.15. Blow out would be an undestatement here, as this 60.39-point margin of victory was the fifth-largest of all matchups this season. Syracuse Express gets revenge for their last matchup with NewEngland Deflators (a Week 10 loss: 104.68 to 68.32), and their head-to-head record improves to 2-1. NewEngland Deflators must have some good karma from a previous season or event. They finished the regular season in fourth place with a record of 8-6, despite ranking just sixth in the league in scoring at 94.62 points per game. This postseason, NewEngland Deflators was bounced early, losing in their only playoff game.

Smooth Moves by Syracuse Express

  • Syracuse Express, your competitive drive brought home the victory (with some help from professional athletes). That drive could take you all the way to the Toyota Hall of Fame.
  • Todd Gurley II set the league season high for total points in a week with 54.07.
  • Not quite the best, but pretty darn effective. Kareem Hunt had the second-highest RB score of the week and the second-highest RB score in the league this season with 43.90 points.
  • With 22.14 points, Drew Brees ranked fourth in the league this week in scoring among QBs.
  • Apparently playing within themselves was good enough. Syracuse Express won despite having only 3 of their 10 starters exceed their projected points.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • NewEngland Deflators, you can’t win ’em all. But you can’t lose ’em all if you wanna be in the Toyota Hall of Fame.
  • Well, that’s embarrassing. Left Aaron Rodgers on the bench, where he ranked sixth in the league in scoring with 27.90 points.
  • Whoever gave you this advice, you might want to lose their number. Picked up and started Dede Westbrook, who then scored below his 5.49-point projection with 1.40 points.
  • NewEngland Deflators had only 5 of their 10 starters underperform versus their projections, but they still lost.
  • With 2.00 points, Adam Thielen scored only 21.8% of his 9.17 projected point total.

  • If Syracuse Express played NewEngland Deflators every week, they would be 12-3 this season.
