Playoffs: Liberty City Outlaws Tramples Hulk Smash

Liberty City Outlaws delivered a powerhouse performance, scoring the highest point total in the league to date to destroy Hulk Smash 179.90 to 79.67. The enormous 100.23-point playoff victory was the largest margin of victory for all matchups this season. This beatdown makes it three in a row for Liberty City Outlaws versus Hulk Smash, including a 149.78 to 119.22 win in Week 10, the last time they met. Hulk Smash concluded the regular season with a record of 9-5, good for second place. From a points per game perspective, they ranked slightly worse (third with 113.41). Hulk Smash was sent home quickly this postseason, losing in their only playoff matchup.

  • Even if you cried trying to win, you still won. And the Toyota Hall of Fame is proud of Liberty City Outlaws either way.
  • With 37.40 points, Brandin Cooks had the highest WR score of the week and the third-highest WR score in the league this season.
  • When is Ezekiel Elliott going to get some respect from the “experts?” With 35.83 points against a projected 15.93, he ranked fourth in the league in scoring and has now overachieved in four straight games.
  • Expect to see some trade offers for Devonta Freeman. He ranked fifth in the league in scoring with 34.97 points.
  • We won’t judge you if you want to bow to Drew Brees. He ranked sixth in the league in scoring with 33.36 points.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • 179.90 seems a lot higher when you’re on the losing side of it. And the Toyota Hall of Fame knows you know that.
  • This is one of those mistakes that you continuously think about for ten years. Did not start Russell Wilson, who scored 25.36 points to rank eighth in the league in scoring.
  • Should have started the Atlanta Falcons Defense, which underachieved, but still had more points than the starting DEF with 10.00 against a projected 10.66.
  • The RBs on Hulk Smash let them down, getting outgunned by the RBs on Liberty City Outlaws 75.00 – 34.57.
  • Hulk Smash could have used more points at WR, where Liberty City Outlaws outscored them 45.87 – 13.80.

  • Well, that’s embarrassing. Left Andrew Luck on the bench, where he ranked 10th in the league in scoring with 22.80 points.
  • Missed out on an opportunity by leaving the 19.67 points scored by Tyler Lockett on the bench this week. He outperformed his projected point total by 376.3%, the fourth-highest percentage in the league.
  • The lowest score by a player for Forte Shades of Jay this week was 0.87 points from Stefon Diggs. The score was below his projected points of 6.85, which marks the fourth straight week where that has happened.

Consolation: Millennium Falcons Rallies to Inch by Georgia Bullies

You might as well call Millennium Falcons the “Comeback Kids” after overcoming a 6.91-point differential on Monday night to edge Georgia Bullies, 77.44 to 74.42. Millennium Falcons was led by 13.13 points from Golden Tate and 12.00 from Justin Tucker. The playoff victory was notable, with the 3.02-point margin of victory being the fifth-smallest recorded in the league this season. It’s been said that it’s not how you start, but how you finish and Millennium Falcons took that to heart. Despite losing their last matchup against Georgia Bullies, Millennium Falcons won when it mattered most. It could have gone the other way, Georgia Bullies had a starter score zero points (Theo Riddick). Georgia Bullies concluded the regular season with a record of 6-8, good for sixth place. When considering points per game, they ranked slightly worse (seventh with 94.50). Georgia Bullies was one-and-done this postseason, losing in their only playoff matchup.

Smooth Moves by Millennium Falcons

  • Millennium Falcons scored massive brownie points with the Toyota Hall of Fame this week. Too bad brownie points don’t count as real points. Not that you need help.
  • Sat Devontae Booker, who scored 2.77 points, fewer than any RB in the starting lineup.
  • Golden Tate scored 13.13 points, the fifth-highest WR score in the league this week.
  • Justin Tucker has now overachieved in three straight games after scoring 12.00 points against a projected 7.76.
  • The 11.17 points scored by Odell Beckham Jr. was the ninth-highest score by a WR in the league this week.

  • Could’ve started Matthew Stafford, who underachieved, but still had more points than the starting QB with 10.22 against a projected 18.20.
  • Jason Witten was last on the team in scoring with 0.40 points against a projected 4.63 and has now underachieved in five straight games.
  • With 3.93 points against a projected 9.75, Mike Evans did not meet his projection for the third straight game.

Syracuse Express got the second-highest point total in the league this week from Ty Montgomery (41.27), clobbering Rock Crushers 145.55 to 54.44. Blow out would be an undestatement here, as this 91.11-point margin of victory was the fourth-largest of all matchups this season. Syracuse Express goes to 2-1 head-to-head this season against Rock Crushers, including a Week 8 win (136.62 to 96.30) the last time the teams met. Rock Crushers ended the regular season in fourth place with a record of 9-5. They also ranked fourth in the league with 107.15 points per game. Rock Crushers will start their vacation earlier than they hoped, as they lost their only postseason game. Teams had trouble sleeping after playing Rock Crushers this year, as they blew out their opponent six times this season.

  • Fantasy Football is a game where the high score wins. So keep doing what you have to do, the Toyota Hall of Fame will turn a blind eye.
  • Picked up Ty Montgomery, who led the matchup in scoring and beat his projection by a matchup-leading 473.2%.
