Pleasant St. Pussies

A- Grade

Led by a Terrific Backfield, Pleasant St. Pussies are the Favorite to Win it All

Draft Summary

Blessed with a juicy draft position (No. 2 overall), Pleasant St. Pussies had an excellent performance. The team is notably deep at the running back position, as Derrick Henry and Leonard Fournette are slated to combine for the 2nd-highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league. Pleasant St. Pussies are predicted to finish 1st in Hockey Mayhem with a record of 11-4 (1,847 points).

Best Pick (Antonio Gibson)

Pleasant St. Pussies netted a tremendous mid-round bargain in selecting Gibson at No. 66, about three rounds later than his ADP of 48. Coming off a season in which he ran for 1,037 yards and 7 TDs and had 42 receptions for 294 yards and 3 TDs, totaling 175 fantasy points, Gibson is projected to score 174 fantasy points with the Commanders. That makes him a valuable No. 3 RB for this squad.

Going Out on a Limb (Christian Kirk)

You must have had some inside intel when making the decision to select Kirk with the 2nd pick in the 13th round, about 19 picks earlier than his ADP of 117. Then again, perhaps you’re onto something? Projected to score 106 fantasy points this season with the Jaguars, he looks set to outperform last year when he snagged 77 passes for 982 yards and 5 TDs to post 98 fantasy points. Kirk will slot in as the No. 4 WR for Pleasant St. Pussies, according to projected points.

Draft Notes

  • Week 6 could be a rude awakening for Pleasant St. Pussies, as they have four players on a bye (Derrick Henry, Dameon Pierce, Darren Waller, and Robert Woods). Polo Roughnecks, your Week 6 opponent, will be at full strength with no players on the sideline.

  • Going off projections, Pleasant St. Pussies have an easy path early in the season in Hockey Mayhem with a strength of schedule for the first two weeks that rates as the easiest. Despite that, for the full season, Pleasant St. Pussies have drawn a fairly balanced path rated as the 6th hardest.

  • Pleasant St. Pussies seem to be counting on veteran leadership to rein in youthful exuberance, assembling a balanced roster with an average of 5.2 years of NFL experience, ranking in the middle of the pack for the league. They selected one rookie (Dameon Pierce). In total, there were six rookies selected over the course of the Hockey Mayhem draft.

Liberty City Outlaws

B Grade

Led by a Pair of Bengals, Liberty City Outlaws Can Compete With Anyone

Draft Summary

Liberty City Outlaws turned the No. 7 overall pick into a projected 4th-place finish in Hockey Mayhem. After picking up multiple Bengals in the early rounds (Joe Mixon and Joe Burrow), Liberty City Outlaws are predicted to put up a total of 1,786 points based on the current roster, which would result in a 10-5 record.

Best Steal (Cordarrelle Patterson)

Liberty City Outlaws scored a late-round bargain when they picked up Patterson at No. 111, about two rounds later than his ADP of 96. Coming off a season in which he ran for 618 yards and 6 TDs and caught 52 balls for 548 yards and 5 TDs, totaling 163 fantasy points, Patterson is projected to score 122 fantasy points with the Falcons. That makes him a valuable No. 4 RB for this squad.

Reach Pick (Allen Lazard)

Did you lose a bet? We’re not sure why else you would draft Lazard with the 7th pick in the 6th round, about seven rounds earlier than his ADP of 108. Granted, you may be onto something. Projected to score 96 fantasy points this season with the Packers, he appears set to surpass last year when he had 40 catches for 513 yards and 8 TDs over 14 games to earn 85 fantasy points. Lazard will slot in as the No. 5 WR for Liberty City Outlaws, based on projected points.

Draft Notes

  • Patience is a virtue. You became the last manager in the league to draft a tight end with your selection of Cole Kmet (No. 103 overall).

  • Liberty City Outlaws are in for a rude awakening in Week 10 when they have four players on a bye (Joe Burrow, Joe Mixon, Evan McPherson, and New England). Your Week 10 opponent, Millennium Falcons, won’t be nearly as limited with only two players (Baltimore and Nick Folk) getting the week off.

  • For the second half of the season, Liberty City Outlaws face an uphill battle in Hockey Mayhem based on projected records with a late-season strength of schedule ranked as the most difficult. Despite that, for the season as a whole, Liberty City Outlaws should expect a pretty fair schedule that ranks as the 4th hardest.

  • With an average of 4.8 years of NFL experience, ranking in the middle of the pack for the league, Liberty City Outlaws have assembled a fairly balanced squad. Some experience is preferred, though, as they didn’t select any of the six rookies drafted.

Trubisky Business

B Grade

With a Projected Second-place Finish, Trubisky Business Drafted like a Yahoo Expert

Draft Summary

After receiving a positive draft slot (No. 4 overall), Trubisky Business had an excellent performance. Trubisky Business are predicted to finish 2nd in Hockey Mayhem with a mark of 11-4 (1,798 points).

Most Likely to Improve (Allen Robinson II)

The WR is slated to take the biggest leap over last year of all the offensive selections by Trubisky Business. Following a season in which he racked up 38 catches for 410 yards and 1 TD in 12 games, totaling 35 fantasy points, Robinson II is projected to score 120 fantasy points with the Rams, a 240% gain. That makes him a valuable No. 1 WR for this squad.

Stretch Pick (Amon-Ra St. Brown)

Either you know something nobody else knows or you got a bit carried away with your choice of St. Brown at No. 60, about 17 picks earlier than his ADP of 77. Projected to score 100 fantasy points this season with the Lions, he will need to outperform expectations to take a step forward from his rookie year when he grabbed 90 passes for 912 yards and 5 TDs, totaling 107 fantasy points. St. Brown will slot in as the No. 4 WR for Trubisky Business, based on projections.

Draft Notes

  • If you’re not first, you’re last, so good thing you were first. You got out in front of your opponents at both quarterback and tight end, becoming the first team to draft a player at each position with Josh Allen (No. 28 overall) and Travis Kelce (No. 20 overall). You were more patient at wide receiver, becoming the last manager in the league to draft a WR with the selection of Allen Robinson II (No. 44 overall).

  • With the selections of Josh Allen, Buffalo, and Devin Singletary, Trubisky Business had more Bills than any other team in Hockey Mayhem. The Bills were also popular with your leaguemates, as eight of them were selected in the draft, more than any other NFL team.

  • Trubisky Business face a tough task in Week 7 when they have five players on a bye (Josh Allen, Dalvin Cook, Buffalo, Devin Singletary, and Allen Robinson II). Syracuse Express, your Week 7 opponent, won’t be quite as hamstrung with only two players (Justin Jefferson and Miles Sanders) on a bye week.

  • According to projected records, Trubisky Business have a fairly balanced path in Hockey Mayhem this season with a strength of schedule that rates as the 4th easiest.

Polo Roughnecks

B Grade

Headlined by a Terrific Set of RBs, Polo Roughnecks are Loaded with Talent

Draft Summary

Polo Roughnecks turned the No. 6 overall pick into a projected 3rd-place finish in Hockey Mayhem. With Jonathan Taylor and Aaron Jones slated to combine for the highest point total of all starting RB groups in the league, Polo Roughnecks are predicted to put up a total of 1,809 points based on the current roster, which would result in a 10-5 record.

Biggest Pick (Amari Cooper)

What a great late-round value for Polo Roughnecks, who selected Cooper with the 6th pick of the 13th round, about three rounds later than his ADP of 81. Following a season in which he recorded 68 receptions for 865 yards and 8 TDs, totaling 105 fantasy points, Cooper is projected to score 107 fantasy points with the Browns. That makes him a valuable No. 3 WR for this squad.

Reach Pick (Rhamondre Stevenson)

Are you in a sharing mood? We’d love to know what prompted you to draft Stevenson with the 6th pick in the 8th round, about four rounds earlier than his ADP of 94. Granted, you may be onto something? Projected to score 161 fantasy points this season with the Patriots, he appears poised to improve on his rookie year when he ran for 606 yards and 5 TDs and had 14 catches for 123 yards in 12 games to post 96 fantasy points. Stevenson will slot in as the No. 3 RB for Polo Roughnecks, according to projections.

Draft Notes

  • With only two tight ends off the board, Polo Roughnecks saw a run developing and jumped in early, taking Kyle Pitts with the 6th pick in the 5th round. Three more tight ends were off the board in the subsequent 8 non-keeper picks.

  • Week 7 could bring on a case of the Bye Week Blues for Polo Roughnecks, as they have four players on a bye (Jalen Hurts, Los Angeles, Tyler Bass, and DeVonta Smith). On the bright side, your Week 7 opponent — Rock Crushers — will also be confronting their worst bye week with four players on the sideline.

  • According to projected records, Polo Roughnecks won’t face too many speed bumps in Hockey Mayhem this season with a strength of schedule rated as the easiest. That doesn’t mean you can relax, though. Even the softest schedules can present plenty of issues for those who fail to stay involved.

  • Polo Roughnecks appear to be trying to catch lightning in a bottle, compiling a squad with an average of 3.1 years of NFL experience, ranking as the youngest group in the league. Driving home that point, they selected two rookies (George Pickens and Isiah Pacheco), the highest total of first-year players in the league. In total, there were six rookies selected over the course of the Hockey Mayhem draft.

Rock Crushers

C+ Grade

Despite an Exciting Set of WRs, Rock Crushers Aren’t Exactly a Team That Can Win

Draft Summary

Rock Crushers doesn’t scare anyone with a projected record of 6-9 (1,756 points). On a positive note, the team is especially deep at the wide receiver position, as Cooper Kupp and Mike Evans are slated to combine for the highest point total of all starting WR groups in the league. Rock Crushers are predicted to finish 6th in Hockey Mayhem.

Biggest Steal (Marquise Brown)

What a fantastic late-round bargain for Rock Crushers, who got Brown with the 5th pick of the 12th round, about two rounds later than his ADP of 78. After a season in which he hauled in 91 passes for 1,008 yards and 6 TDs, totaling 100 fantasy points, Brown is projected to score 98 fantasy points with the Cardinals. That makes him the No. 5 WR for this squad.

Going Out on a Limb (Brandon Aiyuk)

Are you willing to reveal your source? We’d love to hear what prompted you to select Aiyuk in the 11th round, about 18 picks earlier than his ADP of 103. Granted, you might be onto something. Projected to score 98 fantasy points this season with the 49ers, he seems poised to take a step forward from last year when he had 56 receptions for 826 yards and 5 TDs to post 87 fantasy points. According to projected points, Aiyuk will slot in as the No. 4 WR for Rock Crushers to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • Rock Crushers appear to be particularly deep at quarterback, taking the most of any team in the league with three, exceeding the league average of just 1.8.

  • Better late than never. With the selection of RB Ezekiel Elliott (No. 21 overall), you became the last manager in the league to draft a running back.

  • Week 7 could be a difficult task for Rock Crushers, as they have four players on a bye (Cam Akers, Cooper Kupp, Stefon Diggs, and Tyler Higbee). Fear not: your Week 7 opponent — Polo Roughnecks — will also be tackling their worst bye week with four players on the sideline.

  • According to projections, Rock Crushers have one of the toughest schedules in the late stages in Hockey Mayhem with a second-half strength of schedule rated as the 2nd-most difficult. Even so, for the season as a whole, Rock Crushers face a pretty fair path rated as the 3rd toughest.

Millennium Falcons

C Grade

After a Few Too Many Stretch Picks, Millennium Falcons Have the Look of a Cellar Dweller

Draft Summary

Millennium Falcons had the misfortune of landing the last pick in the opening round. While some thrive in that scenario, this team responded to the adversity by tanking the draft and finishing with the worst projected team in Hockey Mayhem. Millennium Falcons are predicted to finish with a mark of 1-14 (1,605 points).

Biggest Steal (Kenneth Walker III)

What an outstanding late-round value for Millennium Falcons, who picked up Walker III with the 8th pick in the 17th round, about four rounds later than his ADP of 105. Walker III is projected to score 112 fantasy points with the Seahawks, which would make him the No. 6 RB for this squad.

Going Out on a Limb (Melvin Gordon III)

Did you lose a bet? We’re not sure why else you would select Gordon III with the 8th pick in the 8th round, about four rounds earlier than his ADP of 97. Projected to score 145 fantasy points this season with the Broncos, he will need to outperform expectations to top last year when he rushed for 918 yards and 8 TDs and hauled in 28 passes for 213 yards and 2 TDs to earn 160 fantasy points. Gordon III will slot in as the No. 4 RB for Millennium Falcons, according to projected points.

Draft Notes

  • Week 11 could bring on a case of the Bye Week Blues for Millennium Falcons, as they have four players on a bye (Chase Edmonds, Travis Etienne Jr., Kenneth Walker III, and Chris Godwin). Polo Roughnecks, your Week 11 opponent, won’t be nearly as hamstrung with only two players (Tyreek Hill and James Robinson) on a bye week.

  • With a strength of schedule rated as the most difficult based on projected records, Millennium Falcons have an uphill battle in Hockey Mayhem this season. But don’t lose hope. You can’t control strength of schedule, but you can control your team. There are infinite paths to improve your team throughout the season for those who remain active.

  • Millennium Falcons seem to prioritize experience over youth, compiling a lineup with an average of 6.8 years of NFL experience, ranking as the oldest group in the league. Even so, they still selected one rookie (Kenneth Walker III). In total, there were six rookies selected over the course of the Hockey Mayhem draft.

  • Whatever the plan heading into the draft, it couldn’t have involved accumulating such a limited group of stars. Combined, the top players from each position on Millennium Falcons are projected to tally the 2nd-lowest point total in Hockey Mayhem. Unfortunately, the rest of the roster looks similarly dismal, as those players are predicted to combine for the lowest point total.

Syracuse Express

C Grade

Despite an Exciting Group of WRs, Syracuse Express are Good Enough to Barely Miss Playoffs

Draft Summary

Coming into the draft with the first pick, expectations were high for Syracuse Express. Then they drafted, and those expectations vanished quickly, as this team is headed for an unexceptional 5th-place finish in Hockey Mayhem. Some good news: the team is especially strong at the wide receiver position, as Justin Jefferson and CeeDee Lamb are expected to combine for the 2nd-highest point total of all starting WR groups in the league. Syracuse Express are projected to post a record of 9-6 (1,769 points).

Best Keeper (Lamar Jackson)

Syracuse Express certainly know how to pick ’em, and Jackson seems to be the best bet to elevate his game among the keepers. Coming off a season in which he threw for 2,882 yards and 16 TDs with 13 INTs and racked up 767 yards and 2 TDs in 12 games, totaling 244 fantasy points, Jackson is projected to score 366 fantasy points with the Ravens. That makes him a valuable No. 1 QB for this squad.

Going Out on a Limb (Brian Robinson Jr.)

Are you willing to reveal your source? We’d love to hear what prompted the selection of Robinson Jr. at No. 97, about three rounds earlier than his ADP of 126. Robinson Jr. is projected to score 51 fantasy points this season with the Commanders. Robinson Jr. will slot in as the No. 7 RB for Syracuse Express, based on projections.

Draft Notes

  • Syracuse Express made the most of their two keepers, retaining them at around pick No. 125 on average, a little under 13 rounds later than their average ADP of 24.

  • Week 9 will bring on a case of the Bye Week Blues for Syracuse Express, as they have six players on a bye, led by Eli Mitchell, Javonte Williams, and Denver. Your Week 9 opponent, Polo Roughnecks, won’t be nearly as hamstrung with only two players (Amari Cooper and George Pickens) on a bye.

  • With a strength of schedule that ranks as the 2nd-easiest based on projected records, Syracuse Express have drawn one of the lightest schedules in Hockey Mayhem this season.

  • Syracuse Express are leading the youth movement, compiling a lineup with an average of 3.8 years of NFL experience, ranking as the 2nd-youngest group in the league. Demonstrating their commitment to youth, they selected one rookie (Brian Robinson Jr.). In total, there were six rookies selected over the course of the Hockey Mayhem draft.

Pandamonium

C- Grade

With a Few Stretch Picks, Pandamonium Have Nowhere to go But Up

Draft Summary

Pandamonium couldn’t make the most of the No. 3 overall pick, drafting a roster that will struggle to put up wins. Opponents will enjoy beating them regularly, as this team is projected to finish 7th in Hockey Mayhem. Pandamonium are projected for a record of 2-13 (1,664 points).

Best Keeper (Christian McCaffery)

Pandamonium clearly know what to look for in a player, and McCaffrey rates as the best bet to elevate his game among the keepers. After a season in which he rushed for 442 yards and 1 TD and caught 37 balls for 343 yards and 1 TD in 7 games, totaling 78 fantasy points, McCaffrey is projected to score 210 fantasy points with the Panthers. That makes him a valuable No. 2 RB for this squad.

Reach Pick (Rashod Bateman)

We’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you got distracted right before the selection of Bateman in the 9th round, about 19 slots earlier than his ADP of 86. To be fair, you might be onto something. Projected to score 104 fantasy points this season with the Ravens, he looks set to take a step forward from his rookie year when he racked up 46 receptions for 515 yards and 1 TD in 12 games, earning 40 fantasy points. Based on projected points, Bateman will slot in as the No. 6 WR for Pandamonium to begin the season.

Draft Notes

  • Pandamonium appear to be especially deep at wide receiver, drafting more than any other team in the league with seven, compared to the league average of just 5.8.

  • Fashionably late? You became the last manager in the league to draft a quarterback with your selection of Trey Lance (No. 91 overall).

  • Pandamonium face a difficult challenge in Week 10 when they have four players on a bye (J.K. Dobbins, Damien Harris, Rashod Bateman, and Elijah Moore). Your Week 10 opponent, Rock Crushers, will be at full strength without any players getting the week off.

  • Pandamonium have one of the toughest schedules in Hockey Mayhem this season according to projections with a strength of schedule rated as the 2nd-most difficult. But don’t lose hope. Strength of schedule is just a number. There are countless ways to improve during the season for managers who remain involved.
